These iconic chairs were designed in 1996 by the legendary Japanese designer Yuzuru Yamakawa and excel in both ergonomic comfort and sculptural aesthetics. The chairs are characterized by the beautiful, flowing lines of dark brown woven rattan over a sturdy, organically curved frame. They were purchased new at the time and have been carefully stored indoors for the past 20 years. 100% Original & Verified Both chairs feature the original metal factory label "Yamakawa Contemporary Rattan" on the underside, including the unique factory serial production numbers: 00-08983 and 00-08706. This guarantees the authenticity of these early design classics. Condition: The chairs are in excellent physical condition. The rattan is completely intact: there are absolutely no broken, split, or loose strands. The construction is rock-solid and stable. The chairs have recently been stored in a dry attic and are only slightly dusty, but after a quick clean, they are immediately ready to shine in a modern or eclectic interior.
