Description:
Offered: A beautiful design icon from early Italian lighting history. This is the iconic Daruma table lamp, designed by Sergio Asti in 1968.
This specific example is a highly sought-after early first edition, produced by the original manufacturer Candle Illuminazione (before production was later taken over by FontanaArte). The lamp is in exceptionally beautiful, undamaged condition.

Original 1st Edition: Fully authentic and rare example from the Candle Illuminazione period (Milan, 1968). The lamp is equipped with the original, period-correct vintage cable set including the authentic switch and molded plug.
Largest Size (C5): This is the generous version, approx. 31 cm high and 27 cm wide. An impressive size that is rarer and comes into its own beautifully on a sideboard, floor, or large cabinet.
Timeless Material: Made from two perfectly fitting parts of high-quality, glossy white hand-blown opal glass. This creates the iconic, warm and soft 'glow' for which the lamp is known worldwide.
Condition:
The lamp is in very good vintage condition. The opal glass is completely intact, has a beautiful shine, and is free from cracks, chips, or deep scratches. The wiring and the original switch have been checked, and the lamp works perfectly.
