For sale is not just a painting, but a three-dimensional work of art with an exceptional visual and material impact. Title: "The Treasure of Sifnos," created in 1993. This is not just a depiction, but a true scenographic reconstruction of the famous Greek monument.
The feature that makes this work unique is the relief inserts. As can be seen from the detailed photos (taken at an angle), the artist used an advanced mixed media technique to create overhanging elements:
Integrated Sculptural Reliefs: Various parts of the temple and the scene are physically raised above the canvas surface.
Depth and Real Shadows: Natural light plays on the volumes, creating real shadows and providing a depth that a two-dimensional painting cannot achieve. The Caryatids and the pediment frieze almost seem to detach from the canvas.
