These distinctive armchairs by Arcalo date back to the 1950s and are based on a design by the Portuguese metalworker and designer Goncalo Rodrigues dos Santos. Known today as the Goncalo Chair, this design is a classic of Portuguese post-war design and was developed specifically for use in cafés and on terraces. The gracefully curved frame made of white lacquered tubular steel forms both the legs and the wraparound armrests, giving the chairs their unmistakable, light silhouette. The wooden seat provides a warm contrast to the white metal. The wide, slightly splayed backrest is also white and is framed by the surrounding tubular steel structure. Condition: The chairs are in used vintage condition with signs of age and use. The wooden seats show visible scratches, scuffs, and minor discoloration. The white lacquered metal frame has some scratches, abrasions, and minor paint damage. Overall, the pieces display an authentic patina commensurate with their age. Dimensions: L52 × W46 × H70 cm, seat height 42 cm. Collection is available Monday to Saturday (excluding public holidays) between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM by appointment. Delivery? Absolutely, possible throughout Switzerland! Just ask for a quote, which varies depending on the distance. Important: All furniture pieces are unique and non-returnable.
