Product description
Superb freestanding towel rack or valet stand in oak, in the Art Deco style (probably 1930s).
A rare, upright model with side bars and eight hooks on the sides, all in solid oak. It is mounted on a 3.5 cm thick base.
The craftsmanship is excellent, although the base is slightly warped.
Some small areas of missing wood, including two screw holes on the top upright, have been filled with wood filler (see photo).
The entire piece has been sanded, treated with Xylophene, protected with a hard primer, and then finished with two coats of satin varnish to provide the best possible protection for a humid environment.
A rare find!
