TON is the Czech furniture manufacturer that descends directly from Michael Thonet’s original factory. The Merano won the Red Dot Design Award in 2011 and the Good Design Award in 2012. The chair is built from bent plywood seat and backrest on a solid wood frame, entirely without screws or metal parts. That makes it remarkably light, strong and stackable.
