Exceptional decorative vide-poche or ashtray attributed to Tommaso Barbi, one of the most renowned Italian designers of the 1970s.
This striking piece combines a substantial chrome-plated structure with a handwoven metal body, creating a strong architectural presence characteristic of Italian modernist and Hollywood Regency design.
The underside bears the “Lavorato a Mano” (handcrafted) mark together with the TB monogram associated with Tommaso Barbi productions.
More than a simple ashtray, this is a sculptural decorative object suitable for a coffee table, desk, console or luxury interior setting.
