On offer is a rare Tomasa chair (no longer produced today). The Tomasa chair is a very sophisticated folding chair - a tribute to Paolo Uccello, a painter and mathematician from the 15th century. The design was developed by Simon Gavina in Italy in 1983. Simon Gavina was later taken over by Cassina and the Tomasa chair continued to be produced by Cassina. The chair offered here is from the early series produced by Simon Gavina. The construction consists of waxed oak slats that form the backrest and seat. Brass threaded inserts act as hinges. This allows the Tomasa to be folded flat and space-saving for storage. A total of 2 pieces are still available. If you are interested in a set of 2, please send me a message.
Good vintage condition with a beautiful patina and signs of wear due to age (see photos).
