Product description
Iconic design from around1883, produced by the firm Gebruder Thonet.
The paper label with "Wien" was used from 1881 to 1919. The chair comes from an inheritance and this time period is also consistent with family purchase.
This design allowed huge savings in the amount of wood needed to make this chair.The longest piece was only 90 cm long.
The chair is honey colored.
Both the original paper Thonet company label with Wien and a Thonet stamp can be seen under the seat.
The hole seat could be loose and one of the front legs has traces of woodworm (see photos).
