Thonet Chair No. 14; the very archetype of the Thonet range, launched in 1859. It consists of only 6 pieces of wood that were bent using steam and iron molds. For cheap shipping, no less than 36 chairs fitted in 1 cubic meter; see picture. This particular specimen is quite a rare find because it bears the earliest label the company used. This is the first edition of the first chair the Thonet company ever produced, and still with the original undamaged webbing; a museum piece.
