The Dutch architect and designer Mart Stam was one of the central protagonists of the Bauhaus movement and a pioneer of the new way of living. One of his most important works was the S43 chair. The idea of two-legged cantilever technology with a frame constructed solely from a bent piece of tubular steel was completely revolutionary. This piece of furniture symbolizes the innovative spirit of the Bauhaus - simplicity and functionality - like hardly any other design. The set consists of four chairs.
