Product description
An elegant early 20th-century Thonet Model No. 207 oval bentwood table, produced circa 1910s by Mazowia in Poland under license from Thonet.
The table features the refined construction characteristic of the Thonet bentwood tradition, with a beautifully proportioned oval top supported by four slender beech legs. Curved bentwood elements converge around a small circular lower shelf, creating an architectural and highly recognizable silhouette.
Constructed from beech wood and beech plywood, the table combines functional simplicity with the flowing forms associated with late Art Nouveau and Vienna Secession-era furniture.
The underside retains the original MAZOWIA maker’s label, documenting the table’s Polish manufacture.
The piece has been carefully refurbished and finished with traditional shellac polish, enhancing the attractive grain and warm coloration of the wood while preserving its authentic antique character. Minor signs of use and age remain.
A particularly attractive example of licensed Thonet production and an excellent accent piece for both period and contemporary interiors.
