Hannie Mein (1933-2003) was a Dutch potter known for her naive style, often featuring animal figures.
Her work is characterized by incised and glazed motifs in blue and beige.
The artist studied at the Rietveld Academy and established her own studio in the Netherlands in 1956.
The piece is marked with her Brutalist signature and the place of origin, Vinkega, in the Netherlands.
