This set of a 2-seater and 3-seater sofa is a design by Hennie de Jong from 1991. The sleek, modern silhouette is characterized by the continuous backrest and armrests, which appear to rest like a floating shell above the seat.
The sofas feature a sturdy tubular metal frame with chrome legs. The seat is upholstered in a striking, organically shaped patterned fabric in beige and grey tones, while the backrest is covered in a contrasting dark fabric. Both pieces of furniture were reupholstered in 2000.
The set is in very neat condition. Since the reupholstering, the sofas have been barely used and carefully stored, allowing the upholstery and frame to retain their sleek appearance.
This duo fits perfectly into a modern or eclectic interior, where the graphic pattern of the seat can serve as a subtle statement. The airy construction makes them ideal for both a spacious living room and a stylish reception area.
