Product description
"The Unbroken Bloom" tells of resilience. About how vulnerability is not a sign of weakness, but the courage to open up again and again. Like a white amaryllis unfolding layer by layer, even after storms that could have broken it.
This work is crafted from a hand-cut linoleum slab, where the slab itself forms the original artwork.
The powerful lines contrast with the serene white flower, while the weathered blue background reminds us of everything time leaves behind—and everything that continues to grow nonetheless.
An ode to everyone who has learned that healing does not mean the past disappears, but that you can bloom again despite that past.
Anneke Winterman completed her studies in Autonomous Visual Arts at the Utrecht University of the Arts in 2005.
