The train to Himmel station
Children's film | Czechoslovakia 1972
Director: Karel Kachyna
A little girl leaves the city to live with her grandfather in the countryside to escape the chaos of World War II. She witnesses the withdrawal of the German troops and the ultimately victorious struggle of the Czech partisans. The sensitively made film consistently tells this story from the child's perspective, offering a piece of subjective contemporary history.
Light signs of use at the edges. Not unusual for a poster of that era.
