The jugs feature a characteristic octagonal base and body, an elegantly shaped handle, and a pointed spout with floral motifs.
Uniquely, both original, flower-shaped painted detachable lids are still present and intact. The bottom of the jugs features a hand-painted mark (De Klaauw), indicating artisanal craftsmanship from one of the most famous Delft pottery factories.
De Porceleinen Claauw was active between 1660 and 1840.
The set is in beautiful, aged antique condition with a lovely, fine craquelé in the glaze that gives the jugs their authentic appearance.
The handles and spouts are completely intact.
There are only minimal, age-related signs of use present, which are inherent to antique earthenware.
