The Mysterious Poppies
Some flowers draw attention through their color. Others through their silence.
The Mysterious Poppies captures a fleeting moment in which the wind seems to become visible. The deep purple and burgundy poppies sway gently in a landscape that undulates like a breath. It is a静谧 fragment of nature, yet at the same time a timeless image that seems detached from place and time.
The subtle line accents in soft pink, dusty pink, and white allow the light to glide gently over the petals, while the background evokes an almost meditative movement. A tension arises between strength and vulnerability, between presence and transience.
This work is hand-cut in linoleum, where not the print but the original printing plate itself forms the artwork. Every cut line is irreversible and tells the story of attention, patience, and craftsmanship. The layering of colors and the visible structure make every detail part of the whole.
The Mysterious Poppies invites you not only to look, but also to slow down. To pause for a moment to reflect on the beauty that does not immediately reveal itself, but slowly unfolds for those willing to look longer.
