"The Life Wheels" 1 & 2
In this diptych, flowers unfold as memories of movement and time. Circular forms rotate like wheels of life across the surface—gently pulsating, as if growth never truly stops but repeats itself endlessly in rhythm, bloom, and stillness.
The works are constructed from multiple layers of linoleum print, in which subtle traces of color remain visible beneath a light skin. By locally sanding the surface, hidden hues emerge that slowly rise to the surface, as if the work is breathing and revealing its history.
Lines flow like roots, water, or wind along the round forms. Flowers open between the wheels as signs of creation and transience simultaneously.
The relief captures the light in a silent manner, causing the works to change according to the time of day and the viewer's distance.
The Life Wheels 1 & 2 is about cycles of life, continuous movement, and the poetic power of repetition—a静谧 meditation on growth, connectedness, and infinity.
