The extraordinary Tensegrity 713 Coffee table, designed by Theodore Waddell for Cassina in 1973, is based on the so-called Tensegrity principle: chromed steel tubes and fine steel cables stabilize each other through an interplay of compression and tension. This creates the characteristic open construction, where the base appears almost floating. A round clear glass top with a polished edge rests on the frame. The combination of glossy chrome, delicate metal cables, and transparent glass gives the table a particularly light yet architectural appearance. Thanks to its exceptional construction, the table is not only a functional piece of furniture but also a striking design object from the 1970s. Condition: Light scratches are present on the glass top. The chromed frame also shows slight signs of wear. The tensions and the construction are intact. Dimensions: D100cm x H44cm
