Pair of bedside tables produced by A. Chr. Laursen in Nykøbing Falster, a Danish manufacturer active in the mid-20th century and known for solid, functional production. Made of teak, these pieces stand out for their clean lines and refined construction details: tapered legs with a stretcher, visible joinery, and an elegant slightly inclined drop-down door, enhanced by a minimal metal handle. The interior, veneered in light wood, creates a refined contrast with the warmer exterior. The proportions and overall design reflect a transition between the decorative sensibility of the 1940s and the emerging Scandinavian modernist approach, maintaining a balance between formal restraint and attention to material detail.
