Design Icon: "Tavolo con Ruote" Table (XXL Size) - Gae Aulenti
Les Merciers presents a quintessential piece of 1980s industrial design. Designed by renowned architect Gae Aulenti in 1980 for FontanaArte, this table is exhibited in the world's leading museums (including MoMA).
THE CONCEPT & SIZE
The stroke of genius: the combination of a heavy, transparent float glass top (15 mm thick) and industrial cart wheels. This is the XXL size (150 x 100 cm), ideal for structuring a large living room or loft space.
CONDITIONAL CONDITION ⚠️
This table is a vintage piece. The industrial wheels and the overall glass surface are in very good condition. Please note: There is a noticeable chip (impact) on one corner of the glass (please see the detailed photos below).
This cosmetic flaw does not affect the table's structural integrity (the very thick glass will not crack further). However, this defect justifies our significantly lower selling price compared to the usual market value for this large size (often exceeding €1500). This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire an icon of Italian design at a very accessible price.
