Tapestry made by visual artist Marjo Postma with the title:
'Dreamcoat number 9' from 2023.
Marjo gets her inspiration from the most versatile forms found in nature. The 'Dreamcoat' is about dreams and security, multicolored wishes, daydreams and positive emotions.
You can't take your eyes off this rug, each time there are new details that catch your eye.
The rug is tufted, a technique by which the threads are brought through the polyester-cotton pattern with a 'tufting-gun'. The back is glued. The back is lined and finished by hand.
The materials are : wool, acrylic and vintage yarns.
Marjo makes wall hangings in different sizes.
