Adjustable “Olympia” table lamp in white-lacquered metal and chromed steel, leather-clad round base. Designed by Anders Pehrson in 1972 for the Olympic Games and supplied to the Olympic Village.
The “Olympia” variant from Anders Pehrson’s lighting family for Ateljé Lyktan: cylindrical lacquered head with concentric anti-glare louvre, articulating arm on twin chromed rods with sliding carriage and bakelite/ABS knob, and a leather-covered base that provides stability and a warm material contrast. Conceived for the 1972 Olympic installations (village and press facilities), it expresses Scandinavian light control—focused task light on the surface with a gentle, glare-free halo. Wiring in working order; minor age-related marks consistent with normal use.
