Extremely rare T69 table in the XL version with 5 legs, designed by Osvaldo Borsani in collaboration with Eugenio Gerli in the late 1950s for Tecno SPA. The T69 table, in versions A and B, was usually produced with 4 legs and a maximum width of 140 cm. To exceed this width, the 5-legged variant was patented, which in this case has an original 150 cm smoked glass top. Since the price difference was disproportionate to the public, given the production costs compared to the 4-legged version, very few were produced and for a short time. The table is made of solid painted aluminum with brushed brass sheet fronts. It features 5 legs with an original 14 mm thick round smoked glass top, which has 5 precisely crafted recesses that allow for precise positioning on the base. The glass is in excellent condition, practically perfect, with no scratches or chips, and the base shows some minor signs of aging, as shown in photographs, given its nearly 70 years of age. The varnish in the center has been finely restored. Overall it is in excellent vintage condition, restored and remains an extremely rare collector's piece for admirers of one of the most important designers of the 20th century.
