Né à Créteil en 1927, Tony Thibon est orphelin jeune, résistant durant la guerre, puis ingénieur chef de chantier dans la restauration des Monuments Historiques. Toute sa vie, il peint en parallèle, nourri par la nature, les pierres anciennes, et les souvenirs. Sa peinture reste intime, enracinée dans la matière.

Born in 1927 near Paris, Tony Thibon knew an eventful childhood. He was a resistance fighter, then a structural engineer in the restoration of historical monuments in France. Throughout his life he continued to paint, inspired by nature, architecture and memory. His work is sensitive, earthy and human.
