A gouache by painter Sylvia Emmons.
Framed and behind glass. Colors are fresher than in the photo.
Bought in the early 1980s at Galerie M, located in the Bankastraat in The Hague in those years. Was attracted by the witty and cheerful character of the gouache. A contrast with the economically gloomy period of the first half of the 1980s.
Naive art, gouache is opaque watercolor.
Watercolor is also watercolor, but with a lot of water, so much less opaque.
Comes in a beautiful wooden frame.
