Expressionist painting by Swedish painter Eva Holmberg-Jacobsson (1910-2003). The painting was made in the 60’s. Made in oil technique on canvas. Signed in the lower left corner. In an original period setting.
Eva Hilda Elsa Holmberg-Jacobsson, born on March 3, 1910 in Malmö, died in 2003 in Helsingborg, was a Swedish painter.
She studied at the Skåne School of Painting in Malmö in 1927 and at the Otte Sköld School of Painting in Stockholm in 1929, as well as at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris. to Hungary, Spain and France. She exhibited separately at the SDS Hall in Malmö in 1942 and at the Malmö Museum in 1946 and at Svartbrödraklostret in Lund in 1952. She participated in collective exhibitions with the Skåne Art Association and the Helsingborg Art Association. Her art consists of flowers, figurative motifs, landscapes and cityscapes from France in fresh colors. Jacobsson is represented at the Malmö Museum, Helsingborg Museum, Trelleborg Museum and Landskron Museum.
