Impressionist painting by listed Swedish painter Uno Lennart Svärd (1924-2002). The picture was painted in oil technique on a panel in 1954. The painting is handwritten and dated in the lower left corner. In an original period setting.
Uno Lennart Svärd, born September 27, 1924 in Hässleholm, died September 19, 2002 in Kristianstad, was a Swedish painter, graphic artist and sailor.
Svärd studied at Skånska målarskolan i Malmö. After graduation, he became a drawing teacher. His works are mainly oil landscapes, watercolors and portraits. Together with Axel Olsson he exhibited in Olofström 1956, Åseda 1956, Simrishamn 1963 and together with Thure Holmgren he exhibited in Åhus 1957. Vinslöv, Perstorp and Simrishamn. He took part in exhibitions organized by Grupa 58a. Among his public works are an oil mural for a restaurant in Åhus and a mosaic in Hässleholm. As an artist, he also made mosaics and cuts of linoleum
