The iconic stick cabinet is a Dutch design by Willem Lutjens (often referred to as W. Lutjens or Wilhelm Lutjens), produced by the C. den Boer furniture factory in Gouda. The design originally dates from 1953 and became a symbol of modern, airy Dutch design during the 1950s and 1960s.
Modular system: The cabinet is constructed from loose planks and wooden sticks (stollen) that can be easily screwed together. This makes the cabinet easy to disassemble and assemble according to your wishes.
Materials: Usually made of birch or birch veneer, often recognizable by the elegant, upward-curved edges of the shelves (bentwood). There are also teak or oak versions.
Functionality: Due to its open structure, the furniture is not only suitable as a bookcase but is also often used as a room divider.
