Product description
A beautiful and fairly large hand-painted Chinese porcelain statue of Buddha/Budai, also known as the Laughing Buddha. Vintage from the 1960s-1970s. Depicted standing, a less common form than seated models. Polychrome decoration in pastel shades of green, pink, blue, yellow, and red, embellished with flowers and longevity symbols on the robe. The base has a lovely iridescent glaze with pearly reflections. This vintage decorative piece is stamped "Made in China" on the base.
25.5 cm high, 11 cm wide, and 8 cm deep. Excellent condition, with only a very slight firing flaw on the chest and a few minor irregularities in the original glaze. Approximately 800 grams.
