This pair of wall sconces is attributed to the renowned French wrought iron craftsman Gilbert Poillerat. These lights are distinguished by their torch-like silhouette, a classic motif revisited with the characteristic elegance of mid-20th-century design. Crafted from wrought iron, these sconces feature a gilt finish that highlights the sculptural details of the mount. The wall-mounting base is shaped like an eight-pointed star, from which an arm extends to support the tapered shaft of the torch. The upper section is adorned with a scalloped-edge cup designed to hold the bulb. The natural patina of the gilt metal testifies to the authenticity and age of these pieces. A stunning pair of French gilt iron sconces in the style of Gilbert Poillerat. These fantastic torch-shaped sconces have a beautiful star-shaped backplate and a lovely patina.
