A wall mirror designed by Sergio Mazza for Artemide in the 1960s, created during a period when Italian design sought the perfect balance between functionality, elegance and exceptional craftsmanship. Through measured proportions and a restrained vocabulary, Mazza transformed an everyday object into a refined architectural presence.
Its circular nickel-plated brass frame is composed of a series of concentric profiles, alternating polished and satin-finished surfaces that enhance its depth while catching the light in constantly changing ways. The nickel finish gives the metal a soft, sophisticated tone, while the stepped profile adds rhythm and three-dimensionality, making the frame an architectural feature rather than a simple border.
A clear expression of Artemide's early design philosophy, this mirror combines formal restraint, meticulous construction and a thoughtful use of materials. A timeless piece whose understated elegance continues to enrich contemporary interiors.
Condition: Good overall condition. The frame shows oxidation spotting, and the mirror has some areas of age-related clouding.
Dimensions: Diameter 62 cm – Depth 3.5 cm
