Cordless Vase Lamp from West German Pottery – Blue and White with Japanese Fabric | 33 cm
A handy, unique piece, combining typical 1970s style with a modern Japanese textile design. The original West German Pottery vase has a soft, organic shape and a flowing glaze in creamy white and various shades of blue – its small shape is reminiscent of traditional jug forms.
The cylindrical lampshade is covered with high-quality Japanese cotton fabric. The graphic wave pattern (Seigaiha) is a classic motif in Japanese textile art and symbolizes tranquility, permanence, and the sea. The fine dark blue lines echo the colors of the vase, creating a particularly balanced composition. The translucent fabric creates a pleasantly warm, inviting light when the lamp is switched on.
The lamp is cordless, making it easy to place wherever atmospheric lighting is desired – on sideboards, windowsills, bedside tables, dining tables, or even on balconies and patios.
Like all Roomlight Studio lamps, this unique piece was also carefully modified. The vase's collector's value is preserved, as no drilling was done. The reversible plug-in solution allows for easy restoration to its original state at any time. The lamp base is weighted for added stability.
The rechargeable LED bulb is charged via USB-C, provides approximately 6 to 12 hours of light depending on the brightness setting, and can be dimmed and its color temperature adjusted via remote control. Replacement bulbs are available.
