A very beautiful small spherical vase, Limoges porcelain by Camille Tharaud, circa 1920-1940, probably from the 1930s, in the Art Nouveau modernist style. Stamped under the base: Tharaud, France, Limoges, along with two incised inscriptions, a mold mark, and the decorator's mark. The porcelain has a nuanced white/beige glaze, decorated with stylized fern leaves in the shape of fiddleheads, rising from the base upwards, in shades of brown, hazelnut, pale brown, and peacock green/dark turquoise. It has a small, short, upturned neck with a dark peacock green/turquoise rim.
It measures 14.5-15 cm in height and approximately 14.5-15 cm in diameter at its widest point. It is in very good overall condition, with no chips or cracks. However, it does have a few very discreet scratches and minor abrasions. It weighs approximately 500-600 grams.
