This small vase lamp was crafted from an original Bay Keramik vase. The vase bears both the original Bay sticker and the base marking and impresses with its warm red glaze and subtle depth. A beautiful example of high-quality West German pottery from the 1960s and 70s.
The cylindrical lampshade is covered with a Japanese cotton fabric featuring a stylized, graphic water lily motif. The pattern appears both modern and timeless, creating a striking contrast to the vase's organic form. The result is a small, expressive accent lamp, ideal for creating atmospheric ambiance on sideboards, shelves, or bedside tables.
I carefully converted the vase into a lamp without drilling. A specially developed plug-in solution allows for a completely reversible conversion – preserving the vase's collector's value.
