“Simris” table lamp with chromed-metal structure, leather-clad base, height/reach adjustable via sliding carriage and round knob, design 1964.
A Scandinavian lighting staple from the late 1960s/1970s, the “Simris” by Anders Pehrson balances technical clarity with a refined silhouette. The low leather-covered base (cognac tone with top-stitch), twin chromed uprights and sliding arm with ivory-coloured round clamp create smooth, precise adjustability. The lacquered cylindrical head tilts and swivels; the concentric louvre softens the beam and minimizes glare—a hallmark of Pehrson’s work.
Consistent wear; minor rubs/small marks to the lacquered head, small spots on the leather base; wiring in working order.
Good overall condition. Minor signs of age and use may be present. Please review the photos carefully.
