Product description
Late 19th or early 20th century
Style: Shell decoration on the spout and turned wood handle, typical of the Rococo/Louis XV style, reinterpreted.
Identification: The rectangular hallmark with the explicit inscription "MÉTAL ARGENTÉ" (silver-plated metal) indicates French manufacture.
The maker's mark (the silversmith's mark) is a vertical lozenge, but it is too worn in the photograph to precisely identify the craftsman.
Rosewood handle.
Condition: Loss of silver plating (yellowish reflections); the silver layer thins with cleaning.
A very slight, barely visible dent on one side.
Total height with lid: 22 cm, without lid: 16 cm.
Body diameter: 12 cm.
