ARTIST BIOGRAPHY:
Michel Seuphor (1901 - 1999), born on March 10, 1901 in Antwerp, Belgium, was an influential artist, writer, and critic. He is best known for his contribution to abstract art and his role in the art world of the 20th century.
In the 1920s, Seuphor moved to Paris, where he immersed himself in the avant-garde art scene. He became friends with many leading artists of the time, including Piet Mondrian. Seuphor became a fervent advocate of abstract art. In addition to his work as an artist, Seuphor was a prolific writer and critic. He published numerous articles and books on abstract art.
