Set of Two PK22 Lounge Chairs by Poul Kjærholm for Fritz Hansen, 1950s Denmark. This set of PK22 lounge chairs is one of the most recognisable examples of Scandinavian modern design. Introduced in 1956, the PK22 reflects Kjaerholm’s fascination with combining industrial materials with refined, understated forms, resulting in a chair that remains as relevant today as it was upon its introduction. The elegant silhouette, defined by its suspended seat and finely proportioned stainless steel frame, offers both visual lightness and exceptional comfort. These examples feature their original black leather upholstery paired with brushed stainless steel frames, a combination that perfectly highlights the chair’s minimalist character. Both chairs remain in neat original used condition, showing only gentle signs of age and use consistent with careful ownership.
