This set of two bar stools was designed by Dirk van Sliedrecht for the Dutch manufacturer Rohe Noordwolde. The stools are an excellent example of post-war Dutch Design, combining traditional materials with a modern, minimalist design language.
The seats are crafted from woven rattan, creating an organic texture and a warm appearance. The base consists of a slender, chrome-plated tubular frame that gives the stools an airy and industrial character. The combination of the natural brown of the rattan and the shiny silver of the chrome creates a timeless contrast. The stools are fitted with black caps on the legs to protect the floor.
The set is in good vintage condition, commensurate with age and use. The rattan is intact and the chrome has retained its shine, with light traces of oxidation that contribute to the stools' authentic character.
