Set of Two Armchairs by FRANCO CAMPO & CARLO GRAFFI
These armchairs emerge directly from the celebrated Turinese studio of Carlo Graffi and Franco Campo. Operating under their legendary "HOME" label (1952–1964), the duo translated the avant-garde energy of Turin into sculptural furniture.
While authentically Graffi & Campo creations, the profound influence of their mentor, Carlo Mollino, is unmistakable in the daring architecture. Note the skeletal, aerodynamic legs, a hallmark of this Turinese school, and the organic, feminine curves of the wooden frame that seem to defy gravity.
Recently reupholstered to pristine condition, the dark fabric beautifully contrasts with the complex, warm wood structure. These chairs are rare survivors from a brief, explosive period of Italian design history, representing a perfect synthesis of artistic ambition and artisanal mastery.
