Superb set of Italian modernist chairs produced by Tagliabue di Cascina Armata, a small Italian manufacturer active in the 1970s and 80s.
An iconic sculptural design, these chairs are distinguished by their arched backrests, which flow elegantly into the rear legs. The design is both graphic and organic, typical of Italian modernism.
The wooden frames feature original caned seats, which are preserved and perfectly usable as is, although they show signs of wear consistent with age (see photos).
The chairs are stable, sturdy, and have a beautiful patina.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with slight signs of wear consistent with age.
Note: One of the chairs has a small weakness in the caning and a superficial crack in the frame (see photo), but these do not affect the overall structural integrity. The chairs are stable and sturdy.
