Beautiful and rare set of 8 Danish ‘Compass’ dining chairs, designed by Kai Kristiansen for Schou Andersen Møbelfabrik in the 1960s. A highly sought-after model that perfectly represents the elegance and craftsmanship of Scandinavian mid-century design.
The chairs feature solid teak frames with the characteristic sculptural “Compass” backrests, offering both visual lightness and excellent seating comfort. The refined proportions and clean lines make them ideal for a wide range of interiors, from classic mid-century settings to modern dining spaces.
All chairs have been newly upholstered in a high-quality grey-brown bouclé fabric, providing a contemporary contrast to the warm teak tones while ensuring durability and comfort. The wooden frames are in very neat vintage condition with only minimal, age-related signs of use.
Dimensions (W × H × D): 53 × 77.5 × 50 cm; seat height: 44 cm
