Product description
Classic Model 40/4 chairs, designed by American designer David Rowland in 1964 and produced by the Danish manufacturer HOWE. This model is considered one of the most significant developments in stacking chairs and has been used in public and institutional spaces worldwide. A characteristic feature is the delicate, chrome-plated steel frame, which allows for extremely compact stacking – up to 40 chairs can be stacked to save space, hence the model's name. The seat and backrest are made of molded plywood with a slightly ergonomic shape and comfortable flexibility. The clean, functional design consistently follows the Mid-Century Modern approach, combining industrial precision with timeless aesthetics. The minimalist construction gives the chairs a light and graphic appearance, while maintaining their robustness and suitability for everyday use.
Condition: Good used condition with light to normal signs of wear. Some scratches and wear on the wooden surfaces, as well as age-related marks on the chrome-plated frame. Overall, the chairs are in good condition and fully functional.
