Beautiful set of 6 original 'Orkesterstolen' (orchestra chairs) designed by Swedish architect Sven Markelius for the Helsingborg Concert Hall in the 1930s. These very early modernist chairs combine simplicity, functionality and timeless Scandinavian design.
The chairs are made of bent birch wood with an elegant, light color tone. One of the six chairs is a slightly earlier model, making the set a special collector's item for lovers of Scandinavian design and vintage furniture.
Good vintage condition, with visible signs of use such as scratches, chips and (light) stains. This patina adds to the authenticity and character of the set.
