Product description
Set of 6 model S3 chairs designed by Alfred Hendrickx in 1952. These iconic seating furniture pieces were manufactured by Belform at the time, known for its high quality. Partly due to the sculptural, organic design of the black lacquered wooden frame, these chairs are undoubtedly a beautiful eye-catcher. The chairs have been professionally re-upholstered, putting them in very good condition. Alfred Hendrickx holds an important place in Belgian furniture history. He belongs to the generation of designers who helped detach Belgian furniture design from more traditional furniture styles after 1945, and he partly represents the modernist renewal of that period.
