Product description
Set of six Ligna chairs, recently re-upholstered with blue fabric.
In its original state, the seating and backrest were made of woven cane.
The arm rests chairs are skillfully bend, according the well documented Thonet procedure using steam.
The Thonet 811 chairs, were originally designed by Josef Hoffmann in the 1930s and had different design iterations in different periods.
After the war, the production facilities in Eastern Europe were nationalized.
The factory in former Czechoslovakia was renamed Ligna.
The chairs are marked with the stamp of the manufacturor.
