Cor Unum Bowl Set. Set of 6 bowls, unused, 6 different sizes: 17x4cm / 11x7cm (x2) / 9x5cm (x2) / 5x5cm.
- The objects are a set of ceramic bowls from the Dutch design brand Cor Unum.
- Cor Unum is a production studio for high-quality ceramics, located in 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands.
- The studio collaborates with renowned national and international designers.
- The name "Cor Unum" is Latin for "one heart," and the studio has a social mission, involving people distanced from the labor market in the production process.
- Zweitse Landsheer (1928–2010) – founding father of Cor Unum – studied at the Rietveld Academy. He subsequently became a designer for Goedewaagen in Gouda. In 1956, he became a senior lecturer in the ceramics department of the Academy of Fine Arts in 's-Hertogenbosch. Based on his unique vision, Zweitse Landsheer was asked in 1959 to establish a semi-industrial company for functional pottery. The transition to serial production was initially difficult. Techniques had to be learned and adapted to the specific capabilities of the employees.
