The design of the seats is inspired by the emblematic piece that Spanish architect Josep Torres Clavé designed in 1934 to form part of the furniture that was to house the Spanish Republic Pavilion at the 1937 Paris International Exhibition, alongside Pablo Picasso's Guernica and other works by Alexander Calder and Joan Miró.
Restored: they have been varnished to consolidate the remnants of the old paintwork while preserving the original patina.
